Project overview
Learn new styles of hair braiding with Mia Marshall, owner of Luxurae Hair. Discussion will also include hair car, health, and braiding techniques. Students will learn two different styles (three strand and fish tail), how to apply accessories, and more!
Materials Needed
2 bags of braiding hair
4 hair ties
4 rubber bands
Scissors
Hair brush
10 hair pins
1 container of hair oil
1 container of styling gel/grease
Hair accessories – these can be anything you would like: hair clips, hair gems, jewels, flowers, barrets, bollies, ribbons, beads
About Creator
Mia Marshall (Owner of Luxurae Hair) is a Natural Hair Artist who has been braiding hair since the age of 8 years old. For these past several years, she has merged her hair and art skills through photoshoots, video sets and through everyday hair creations. While working with the Creative Learning Network, Luxurae Hair aims to provide students with the confidence to express themselves through the art of hair braiding. Through different braiding techniques, the use of colorful extensions and accessories and also providing simple hair care methods we hope to expose students to new outlooks on self-care and self-love.
